JHL Div 3 Section 2 – Owenacurra Cup On Wed evening in Lisgould St Itas travelled away to play this league fixture, St Itas needed to win this match to stay in with a chance of topping their section of the league and reaching a league final.

St Itas started well with with 2 pts from Seamie Harnedy before Lisgould replied. Then Seamie Harnedy replied with another point. On the next attack direct from the lisgould Puckout Sean Supple collected the ball in midfield and drove it in low to Seamie Harnedy who turned and headed for goal. as he entered the square he was brought down leaving the ref no choice but to award a penalty. Paudie O Brien came up from goals and drove the ball straight into the net. Lisgoul;d responded with two fine points  before they them selves goald from another attack, They folowed this with another point before Seamie Harnedy struck again for a goal. Finbar Foley and Sean Supple added a point apiece to bring the sides in at half time on a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-5 in favour of St Itas

The second half start much the same as the first with St Itas dominating around the field.Seamie harnedy added two more points to his tally for the night Gerry McCarthy got on the scoreboard with one and Sean supple added two more to his personall tally Lisgould only scored 4 points in the second half leaving the sides at the final whistle on a scoreline of St Itas 2-11 and Lisgould 1-9
