Junior  Hurling League  Div 2  Mossie O Sullivan Cup sponsored by Star Homes

On Thursday 2nd of June St Itas travelled to Carrig na bhFearr to play in their third leage game of the seaason. St Itas having drawn their first and narrowly beating Bride Rovers in the second game need to do well in order to stay in the middle of the league. At 8pm with the sun shining referee James Birmingham threw in the ball and within the first 5 minutes Carrig had notched a lead of 3 points.

The game stayed very much like that untill half way through the first half Carrig na bhFearr had a player sent to the line for his second yellow card. This gave St Itas an advantage and they started to claw there way back getting level a few mins before the half time break.  the second half saw Itas playing with the sun behind them and a one man advantage.  With the ball being played long out to the corner forwards they started gaining the upper hand and after a few minutes were ahead by 2 points then Carrig started to fight back. The rest of the match went pretty much the same way with carrig unlucky not to score from two penelties. With time almost up on the clock Carrig got a 21 yrd free which would have won the game for them but St Itas held tough and lined the goal saving the ball driving it long into the unmarked half forward who pointed to leave the final score at St Itas 3.18 to Carrig na bhFear 3.15.
