The East Cork Oil sponsored Junior A Hurling Championship continued in East Cork on Sunday afternoon last with a double header at Paddy Walsh Memorial Park Castlemartyr

St Itas V Carrig na bhFearr 2/06/2011

Junior  Hurling League  Div 2  Mossie O Sullivan Cup sponsored by Star Homes

On Thursday 2nd of June St Itas travelled to Carrig na bhFearr to play in their third leage game of the seaason. St Itas having drawn their first and narrowly beating Bride Rovers in the second game need to do well in order to stay in the middle of the league. At 8pm with the sun shining referee James Birmingham threw in the ball and within the first 5 minutes Carrig had notched a lead of 3 points.

St Itas play Bride Rovers in League in Pilmore On Wednesday evening last . St Itas played their second match of the league.  Conditions in Pilmore were dry but very windy with each side having a great advantage of the wind in each half.

St Itas V Dungourney 20/05/2011

St Itas GAA Club League report

St Itas Hurling team took to the field for the first league game of the year. They played Dungourney in Dungourney on Friday the 20th May last in Dungourneyboth sides took to the field at 8pm with conditions very good despite the forcast. St Itas this year, like many clubs having to deal with many changes in the last 12 months with the panel of players being affected by the recession.

St Itas Win League Final 17/10/10

On Sunday the 17th Oct St Itas played the  JAHL3 – Owenacurra Cup Final against Carraig na bhFear.  The match started at 2.30pm and was  played in Ballincurra.

Final score was St Itas 2-14   Carraig na bhFear 2-10

ST ITA’s deservedly booked their place in the third round of the East Cork Oil Junior “A”
hurling championship with a hard earned win over Lisgoold last night in Ballinacurra.
The Gortroe men in the early stages settled quicker with Peter Geary and Alan Loughlin
shooting good points. While Maurice O’Connell hit one in reply for Lisgoold they wasted
a number of good chances as well.

On Friday the 14th of May Sty Itas played host to a very much understrenght Bride Rovers side in this league match. With points in the first half from  Michael Daly, Ed Coleman, Gerry McCarthy, Luke O Brien, Finbar Foley and Goals from Seamie Harnedy and Luke O Brien St Itas were well on top Bride Rovers scored a single point from play. The scoreline at half time was St Itas 3-8 Bride Rovers 0-1

St Itas V St Catherines 05/05/10

St Itas played host to St Catherines in this league encounter on Wed evening the 5th of May in Pilmore. St catherines started well with a wind advantage and had two points on the scoreboard before Itas replied with Pedro Geary getting the first point for them. Disaster struck within minutes when St Catherines corner forward blasted the ball into the St Itas net, Goal keeper Paudraig O Brien could do little on this occasion.

St Itas V Ballincurra 30/04/10

St Itas Visited old rivals Ballincurra for this friendly challenge game on Fri 30th April. In a game that was played in good spirts with both sides trading points for much of the game it was a chance for the selectors to try out players in new positions.  Both teams made full use of the wide pitch in Ballincurra and a lot of free flowing hurling was evident.

St Itas played host to Eirns Own in this league encounter in Pilmore on Fri 23rd April. St Itas got off to a good start with a point from Michael Cronin before Eirns Own replied with two points. Seamie Harnedy then got a point from play before once again Eirns Own responded with a great point from their midfield player. the sides were evenly matched with Eirns Own having a slight wind advantage.

St Itas V Castlemartyr 19/04/10

On Monday evening the 19th April St Itas started their league with a match against Castlemartyr in Castlemartyr.  St Itas who had most of their players available were without ther services of Martin O Brien, Michael Cunningham  and Alan Mythen who were injured and Seamie Harnedy who was unavailable. St Itas got off to a great start with points from David Gleeson, Sean Gleeson and a goal from Alan Loughlin before Castlemartyr replied with a single point.

St Itas V Modelligo 10/04/10

On Sat the 10th of April St Itass played host to visiting team from Co Waterford Modelligo in this challange game. Modelligo got off to a good start putting the first point on the board in the first minute of the game which was followed by a goal from Seamie Harnedy from the resulting puck out putting Itas ahead, however within five minutes Modelligo had drawn level with two more points form their full forward and corner forward.
