So far we have played three matches winning one losing one and drawing one.
the first match was against Cloyne which we should have won as we were well
ahead at the break only to allow Cloyne come back into the game and batle
out a draw. Our second match was against Dungourney which saw us concede
two soft goals in the first fifteen mins, after that we were playing catch
up and despite playing and outscoring our oppisition in the second half we
didnt manage a win, we could have drawn but the last min free was dropped
into the square rather then put over the bar and as the ball hit the ground
the ref blew for full time. Our third game against Midleton in Midleton saw
the lads start the better with our midfield working harder providing great
ball to the half forward line and saw us 5 points up at half time. Shortly
after the restart Midleton were reduced to 14 men for a second yellow card
and from this popint on St Itas didnt look like they were going to be caught.
with about 10 mins to go a player from each side was sent to the line reducing
Midleton to 13 and St Itas to 14 . this was our first win so lets hope the
lads can gain confidence from this and do better next time out.go
